AR Rahman, who has been nominated for the Best Original Song in 127 Hours – If I Rise – has missed the Oscar bus this year. The song ‘If I Rise’ from 127 Hours, which was directed by Danny Boyle, for which he was nominated was set to tune by AR Rahman. Florence Welch and AR Rahman performed the If I Rise on stage prior to the award being announced.
The award has been bagged by Randy Newman for We Belong Together from Toy Story 3.
